With VNC(Virtual network computing) software one can remotely control functions of his Personal desktop from other computer by internet connection.Imagine controlling you desktop from your college or even on vacation.
VNC transmits the keyboard and mouse events from one computer to another, relaying the graphical screen updates back in the other direction, over a network.
How to start using :
- Download here and install to both the computers where RealVNC is to be operated.
- Open RealVNC viewer from remote location(Mac in case of above image) and Type your home computer IP address to view you home Computer screen.
Notes :
- Your ports of router must be forwarded i.e. no firewall
- Home computer must have static IP address .
- You can use RealVNC website for updated version
- U can use this to monitor activities of your children
- For slower network connections, set the compression to “best.” The window image quality will be lower, but the connection response will be better
- Additional password authentication can be added to restrict home computer misuse.
